For the first time in its history, the prestigious International Mechanical Engineering Congress & Exposition (IMECE), organised by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), is being held in India. From September 10 to 13, 2025, Hyderabad will play host to this landmark event at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre. Traditionally staged in the United States since its inception in 1996, the 2025 edition marks a significant milestone in the global engineering community’s decades-long legacy.
The event’s theme—sustainability, innovation, and inclusivity—captures the evolving role mechanical engineering plays in addressing societal and environmental challenges. IMECE India 2025 is set to bring together a dynamic mix of participants: over 1,500 delegates, 100 exhibitors, and around 400 distinguished speakers,包括 leaders like Baba Kalyani of Bharat Forge, Dr. N. Kalaiselvi from CSIR, Pawan K. Chandana of Skyroot Aerospace, government representatives, and executives from major corporations like Airbus, L&T, and Reliance. The conference will feature more than 650 technical papers and presentations covering cutting-edge developments in fields ranging from advanced manufacturing and AI-powered mechanical systems to sustainable design and the contribution of engineering towards global well-being.
IMECE India 2025 promises to be a powerful platform for cross-sectoral exchange, uniting researchers, industry professionals, policymakers, and students to explore the latest technological innovations. It will spotlight how mechanical engineering disciplines can lead solutions in areas like robotics, clean energy systems, additive manufacturing, and cyber-physical systems. By hosting the event in Hyderabad, India is not only reinforcing its growing stature as an emerging global innovation hub but also highlighting its readiness to engage at the frontiers of technological collaboration, knowledge sharing, and societal impact.
